The Gospel
"I write these things to you who believe in the
name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal
life." (1 John 5:13)
Eternal life is a free gift
of God (Romans 6:23). Without this wonderful gift mankind faces
eternal separation from God and everlasting punishment (2 Thessalonians 1:8)
because God is holy and righteous (Habakkuk 1:12) and must
punish sin (Exodus 34:6, 7). Everyone has sinned and falls under
the judgment of God (Romans 3:10, 23). The penalty for sin is death
(Romans 6:23). God's righteousness demands perfect righteousness
to enter heaven (Matthew 5:18) and we can come to God only through
Jesus (John 14:6). Jesus lived a perfectly righteous life as He
obeyed (Hebrews 7:26) and fulfilled the law of God (Colossians 2:14).
Since it is impossible for us to become righteous, God offers us
the righteousness of Christ as a gift (Romans 5:17). Jesus paid
the death penalty we deserve for our sin (Roman 5:8). The gift of
eternal life is free to us because Jesus paid such a great price
for our redemption (Titus 2:13-14). The gift of eternal life can
only be received by repentance (Acts 3:19) and faith (John 3:36).
God's gifts are irrevocable (Romans 11:29). Salvation is available
to those who receive it by grace (Ephesians 2:8-9) and not by righteous
deeds (Titus 3:5). Those who attempt to earn acceptance before God
by their own works nullify the grace of God (Romans 11:6). Those
who receive the gift of eternal life are adopted into God's eternal
family (John 1:12) and nothing can ever separate them from God's
love (Romans 8:28-29).
Have you ever personally received God's gift of eternal
life? If not, why not repent from your sins and dead works (Hebrew 6:1) and
receive this precious FREE gift (Romans 6) with empty hands of faith (Ephesians
2:8-9).
Jesus answered and said to him,
"Truly, truly, I say to you,
unless one is born again [from above]
he cannot see the kingdom of God."
If you would like to be SAVED and receive
eternal life you MUST REPENT OF YOUR SIN and BELIEVE ON THE
LORD JESUS CHRIST as your God and Savior.
We ask that you read this page in its entirety
and understand well what is being
communicated here. If you do understand what is being communicated,
you may pray and ask Jesus to be your Savior.
The following is not some formula to be spoken by rote, but rather, something
to seriously consider and take to God in prayer in the privacy of your own
will. You can ask God from the sincerity of your own heart.
We have put the following sample prayer here so that you
can acknowledge and clearly understand
how a person is saved.
Jesus, I believe that You are fully God and fully
man. I know that I have sinned against you. I know that I
have sinned by my own choice and that I alone am responsible for
my sin. I know that I cannot save myself. I also know that I deserve
to be punished by You because I have broken you holy law.
I understand that the fair punishment for sinning against you would be
physical death and eternal separation from You, from your life giving Spirit,
and from heaven for all eternity. I understand that to not receive
you as my God and Savior would result in me being banished to hell forever.
Lord Jesus, I believe
that You satisfied the righteous requirement sof God's Holy Law in my place.
I believe that you satisfied the justice of God by paying the complete
penalty for all my sins, past present and future. I believe
that You shed your blood in order to cleanse me of my
sins and purge my guilty conscience. I believe that you are the propitiation for my sins - that you
satidsfied God's wrath in my place. In doing so, I believe
that You died as my substitute on Calvary ’s cross. I want
to reject all of my own ideas and all of the worlds ideas that say
I can help or assist in my salvation and I reject the idea of
trying to ‘forgive myself’. I want to receive Your forgiveness.
Jesus, I believe
that You died in my place according to the Scriptures, that were
buried, and that on the third day You rose from the dead according
to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:1-5). I believe that you conquered sin, death
and the Devil. I want to repent of all my sins and my own
way of life and I want to receive You Jesus Christ as my own Lord,
God, and Savior. I want to be saved by Your grace alone through
faith alone in You, Your life, death and resurrection. I want to
cease trusting in anything else for my salvation. I want to become a child
of God just like the Bible says and to receive the FREE gift of
the Holy Spirit and eternal life, just as You promised in your Word.
Please cleanse my guilty conscience and allow the Person of Holy Spirit
to come and live in and through me. Lord Jesus, please show
me how to live this life in a way that is right
and pleasing to You and please also give me a burning desire to
read Your Holy Word. Thank You God for Your forgiveness and for
saving me from myself and from my sins! I ask this in your Name Jesus.”
If you have sincerely prayed,
choosing to truly repent from your own sins and from your own way of life,
the Bible says that you (as a true believer now) are
justified - declared totally righteous in God's sight. If you are now
a true believer the Holy Spirit has come to live within you in order to glorify Christ,
live the Christian life through you, and bear fruit (Galatians 5:22).
A new believer in Jesus Christ is said to be 'born-again', or,
made spiritually alive in Christ. If you have been made alive in
Christ you are completely forgiven, are a new creation in Christ,
and are totally innocent in the eyes of God.
Welcome to the family of God! We recommend that you read Romans Chapter 4 and 5
in the New Testament so that you understand what Justification is all about.
If you have chosen to totally surrender your life to Jesus Christ,
we recommend that you contact us so we can answer andy questions you may have.
We also recommend that you contact a healthy Bible believing Christian
Church so that they can welcome you and help you. We do caution you
to not be deceived by unbalanced hyper-faith churches or any Chrsitain Churches that
do not teach and uphold the Word of God in a balanced and healthy manner.
Beware also of ‘Christian Cults’ such as the Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons that twist God’s
Word. Please feel free to contact us if you need a Bible or any information.
We recommend a few websites here to help you become established
in your Christian faith (Blue Letter Bible, Calvary Chapel Homepage, Carrubbers Christian
